Types of Alarm Systems

Bells Only – as at the name suggests, this is no more than an alarm bell which will ring for up to 15 minutes and which may be ignored. Outside business hours or is your home is vacant they offer little protection. Police forces will not respond to a ringing bell unless there is evidence of an offence in progress.

24 Hour Monitored Alarms

24 Hour monitored alarms provide protection around the clock. Simply detecting intrusion is not enough. Help must be summoned without delay. Monitored burglar and fire alarms connected to a 24 hour monitoring service is the answer.

Digital Communicator – is where your B & E alarm is connected to our Alarm Receiving Centre via a telephone line. When the alarm is triggered, our Alarm Receiving Centre receives notification of an alarm and summons the relevant emergency services

RedcareGSM – one of the most secure forms of alarm monitoring available it has a back up of two paths and is capable of sending a confirmed activation’ to ensure police response even if the telephone has been cut

Consequently insurers insist on 24 hour monitored alarm systems. These provide 24 hour, 365 day monitoring by skilled operators in our Alarm Receiving Centre.

Security Systems need 24 hour support – regular servicing ensures that your system meets insurance conditions. It cuts downtime, maintains performance, and helps equipment provide longer service.

Confirmed Alarm Systems

The Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) requires compliance on Burglar Alarms to DD243. This recommends that high priority is only given to alarms which are confirmed.

Alarm systems must conform to the relevant British or European Standards and should include audio, visual or Sequential confirmation technology
